Default Slip on clamps

Thought i would pass this along. I recently did a stage one to my '09 Street Glide. I am using the SEPST to tune it myself and was having a hard time getting ALL the decel popping out. I spent alot of time mapping and remapping only to find out because I did not use new clamps on the slip ons it was drawing a little air there causing it to pop on decel. I basically overtorqued the old clamps to get it to stop leaking there. Problem solved. Take it for what it's worth. If you are having decel popping check for leaks thoroughly.

My new Rinehart slip ons make a gurgling noise when I let off the gas, or when I shift. It's not a backfire, just a gurgling noise. Dealer did the install, but I did notice he re-used my old exhaust clamps. Is this gurgling sound normal?

My dealer always checks the clamps before they reuse them. A lot of the times the clamps are still fine to use they told me to save my money and roll with the old ones. They did that on my last two bikes and never had an issue using the old clamps. Not that they were "that" old to start with...

I had the same issue with my Rineharts. I bought new clamp and still had the issue. It kept getting loose. I resolved it with an 18 " breaker bar to get enough torque to get it tight.
