Yes, it was remapped and dyno,ed and it runs great. I wanted the 2.5 baffles but was told they are backordered 2 to 3 weeks out. Dealer said they had the 2"s in stock and that there was only a 6 decibal difference between the 2"s and the 2.5. Dealer said you couldnt hear 6 decibals, Any truth to this?
No the dealer didn't give good advice on this one.. U can tell the diff of 6db's
Heres some charts U can look at and see for Uself what the diff is...
There is a diff between the two... OSHA is usually always more forgiving than most NIOSH or Union standards on noise...

Using the first chart with pipes that are 95 -105 db's Riding 2-3 hrs or more could easily cause permanent ear damage in short time...
Some members use baffleless pipes that can produce 105-115 db's, at that rate ear damage can happen in less than a hour...
If Ur ears ring after riding,, then U need protection.
I've had the Rush 2" going on 4yrs now... they do get louder with miles.
The two inch baffles will set off car alarms easy if U get on it while passing them.
There plenty LOUD on accell, yet a great deep rumble at steady speed and Idle.
The 2 1/2 will diff be louder, also they will lose a little low end
The wife and I wear ear plugs every ride to keep the noise down.
Remember wind noise can be almost as bad on Ur ears...As we don't have to wear Helmets...
I already have tendinitis from working in factory all my life, so I try to protect what I have left...

You can just buy new baffles for the RUSH pipes, about $70. order some 2 1/2"ers.
I'm sure they will be on backorder. I tried to get some new baffles for mine back in May and they were backordered until Sept.
I'm also sure the Cat is cutting some of your sound volume.

I know every body has different likes/dislikes, I paid dealer 1200.00 for Stage one upgrade with Rush 2.0 slip-ons and was very dissapointed with the lack of sound, I was told that was all of the sound I would get for what I paid. Do I have any options from here without wasting what I have already spent? Im goin thru middle age crisis and want to be heard!!!!
Hope this helps,
Ryan

Basically yes. FM dyno's their maps before putting them up for sale. I'm not about to pay some 'know-it-all' $125/hr to do something I can do with a notebook and a little time. Maybe after a cam & bore change I'll change my mind, but for a Stage 1 upgrade FM's maps are more than enough.

Yeah, you do. They have an awesome data-bank of maps for most of the common/popular set-ups that they dyno in their shop. In my case, their 2010 Street Glide "test mule" is a perfect match for my 2010 SG. The map they pre-installed on the PCV I ordered with my power package is spot on! Sure, you might squeeze another horsepower or two out of the bike on a dyno. But hardley worth the money, or in some cases the "trust" in the kid running the dyno at the shop. I've run downloaded maps in my PC3 on my Hayabusa with the same results. And you can really feel if that bike has a miss in the AFR and timing. I've always had excellent tunes from the Power Commanders in all my bikes.
