The only noise my tranny ever made that I was aware of was/is the 5th gear whine. I've been running M1 85/140 and it has worked well for me. The whine is hardley noticeable now, but I think it is due more to miles than anything.

I have the belray in mine right now. That's the best the dealer had. It may have helped a little but will be going to redline next change.

Any brand will help as long as it's real gear lube, like 75-110 or 75-140.
