Default 2011 FLHX stock seat

The new 2011 street glide stock seat appears much better than my stock 2010. It's probably a little early but I'm interested in a 2011 take off if there are any out there? Thanks

It has been said here that the '09 seats were better than the '10's RG & SG.
The salesmen at my HD say that the '10's have that "hammock" thing going....not sure if it's touring models.

I'm not familar with the '09's but will look into it. I've seen and sat on the new '11 and it's a huge improvement over my stock '10. Not sure what's it's like to ride but it's got to be better than what I have now. Thanks for the heads up on the '09.

I agree. Was at the dealer today and rode a 2010 and 2011. The 2011 seat felt better..bit more lumber support...a little more "in" the seat than "on". The passenger pillion is thicker and more comfortable. Might be pulling the trigger this week on a denim 2011. Don't see myself going with any other seat after the purchase though.

lol. Thanks. Got a great Danny Gray seat that I'll let go for around $19,000. It comes with a 2008 Deluxe ( in my sig pic ). Shameless plug.

I can confirm the 2011 seat IS nicer than the 2010 seat. I think it's probably the same height, but it is narrower at the nose so your thighs are more comfy when feet are on the ground...has a bit more of a "bucket" to it too...a little more support behind your behind. Looks nicer too (IMO) not as much stiching and the material appeared a little nicer.

I'm thinking i'm gonna pick one up over the next few months... I'm trying REALLY hard NOT to have a new 2011 RGC in Sedona Orange connected to that seat.

I sat on one. It does have higher lumbar for the driver. But the top half of the lumbar collapsed rearward when leaned against. There didn't seem to be any structural support to keep it from doing that. Check this out guys.

Is the seat pan the same on the 2011 bikes as the 09-10? I thought I read something where they redesigned this due to the loose seats on the pre-2011 bikes.

As has been said...it is narrower at the nose. Also by harley's view it is a bit lower and I do mean just a bit...26.1 vs 26.3. Overall, IMO it is a more comfortable and better looking seat.
