I just install the Supertrapp SuperMeg 2/1 and I am running with 20 discs long with the closed end cap that came with the kit. My questions are...if I want to run with an "open" end cap, do I just remove the closed cap or do I need to buy a special cap? Will an open cap produce a bit more tone?

 

I don't have an answer for you but I'm very interested in the same exhaust for my 95" FLHT - how is the volume of the 20 disc set up in relation to stock?

 

Mellow tone @ idle & low RPM...Very nice tone when you "crack" the throttle.

 

I believe you need the open endcap. Also it's like adding 9 more discs. Which should be louder. I have the SE Nightstick. Which is made by Super Trapp, and the disc's and caps interchange.
