Default Se 120 question?

I have been reading some about the new 120 MoCo engine. My question, Does the MoCo use the same "88"TC cases or is this a completely new big TC engine based on the "88"?Regards,Tom

The 88 cases have been out of production since 2006.

The 120 has the same cases as the 96, with bigger holes in it...

from what i read in the screamin eagle catalog, the new 120 is basically a 110 with a longer stroke 4 5/8" vs the 4 3/8" stock crank that the 96,103 and 110 use. there are lots of other things that go in it, but that's the foundation that it's built on as far as i can tell.

Yea,I did find out some better info & see that the cases are pretty much the same platform.Kinda like, how the small block chevy grew. The 96s are stroked 88s & the bored 88s=95" which makes the 96"(with the same bore as the 95) a 103,then the 110 is a bored out from 103.Now like you have stated the 120 has even a longer stroke but retains the 110 bore.Anyway thankx for the input.Regards,Tom
