Every time I open a thread about a new bike it's a RG, HD must have hit it right with the Roadie Ultra. Freekin shark attack

HD's marketing folks are either very smart or very lucky. Many RG enthusiasts were shocked by the RGC last year - and HD addressed their objections to the low suspension and sport windshield by introducing a true tour-ready RG, the RGU. When you think about it, it's pretty amazing how different the bikes in touring lineup are, considering they are all built on the same frame. Two Road Kings, the Street Glide, three Electra Glides, and two Road Glides - plus CVOs. Each model has it's own appeal.

The RGU fits me. It gives me the features of the EGU that I wanted, with the spacious feeling of the RG that I needed. It's the perfect bike for me - just as all the others have owners that are on the perfect bike for them.

HD listens to their customers. Last year, the dealer asked me some very specific questions about my feelings on the RGC and also the 2-1 exhaust. He told me that HD corporate was asking dealers to ask customers. I'd bet money that HD has someone who has read these forums and gleaned information from them.

The RGU won't replace the EGU. In my case, it was a total plus for HD - I am uncomfortable on the EGU, so I'd have kept my '07 RG a long time. The RGU drew me into the market for a new bike - and it appears I am not alone in that situation.
