Let me guess... You just added this to your signature yesterday?!
Don't bag on Redline just because you run Amsoil.

FWIW, I use h-d oils. but, the tech at the dealer told me when i suggested trying redline severe that they got a service bulletin from harley about redline tranny fluid and severe issues with transmission failure. but i have no data to support this. just thought i would throw this in the mix.

Interesting, Dawg or HogDoc might be able to shed some light on this.

This is some serious **** here Dr. V-Twin, I'm not calling you a lier, but do you have some documented proof of this?

Default bulletin

Guys, that tech bulletin sounds a little fishy. We've never seen such a document. We have literally thousands of happy customers on our V-Twin Transmission Gear Oil (Heavy Shockproof) over two decades--if there was a problem, I think it would have surfaced some time ago.

We do know that while it helps in the new Cruiseglides, there are shifting issues in those boxes that even Shockproofs can't fix.

H-D wants to push their own fluids and Amsoil/Royal Purple have sales guys out there that try to tear us down but we appreciate the support from those of you who've had success with our products. Thanks.

For those of you trying to find it in your local shop, our wholesale distribution has improved dramatically with the addition of Tucker Rocky/Bikers Choice. Your local shop likely buys some of their inventory from them, so don't be afraid to remind them that they can get it there. There are some mail order deals out there, too. At redlineoil.com, we don't offer any discounts but it ships same day if you order before 1pm PST.

We normally don't post but wanted to clear that up.

Enjoy your forum,
Cameron Evans
