Thanks for the feedback. I kinda agree with the "too much money" position, which is why I thought I'd run it by the crew here. It wasn't just the ABS...the 103 etc also caught my eye. I think I'll sit tight.

Just my humble opinion.

Your bike, your choice. personally I would just practice my braking technique periodically and use the money for something else. Your bike is still new!

Dave Ramsey taught me a few lessons over the years. You might want to do a search on him if you haven't heard of him. Anyway, I paid cash for my used '07 Roady with 2500 miles on it and got a bargain. I then upgraded it to an "Ultra" since HD didn't offer this. Now that the new RGU is out, I am always tempted, but can't see a whole lot of advantages when the bike I own already puts a big smile on my face....and its paid for. You have to ask yourself if it means that much to you. Just some food for thought. Good luck.

I wouldn't do it unless I had alot of money burning a hole in my pocket and problems with my current ride.

It's all how you treat owning the bike. If you intend to keep it forever / for a long time than upgrade it to what you want if the costs make sense. If you like a new bike every few years ride it as is, and get yourself a '12 or a '13 ...

It's funny but, a stock 2010 96 vs a stock 2011 103, the 103 will have 1 1/2 more hp.
They both need a cam, ac, exhaust and a tuner to open them up.

If you were going to do that to each bike, the 103 has more potential. But not any difference stock.

I agree. I'm a fan of ABS but I got it because the bike I wanted had it not because I wanted a bike with ABS. I would definitely put that money in my 2010 or 2009 in my case. There are other things that were improved on the 2011 (Se compensator for one) but I still wouldn't take that hit.
