Picked up one at an 'out-of-town' dealer last Wednesday.
Had a stack 4 feet high behind the counter!! Also had S-E catalogs there.
Spent about $50 bucks on 'trinkets' and got a 20% discount to boot!!
Had never been in the store before, but will be going back...soon!!
(They have an '11 Merlot SunGlo RoadGlide Ultra!)

Hard to believe they gave you a hard time over the parts catalog. What a bunch of simeple minded idiots. And then they are so hard headed they can not figure where all their business went.

If my dealer did that to me over a silly catalog, that would be the last time I ever graced them with my presence.

The last catalog I got in the mail was in 2008. My dealer said since the web site had everything on there now, if you want the printed version, you have to ask for it. No worries, I tend to "groupie" the dealership anyway, so I asked for it like the second day they got them.

Like I said, it's under duress now that I see them like if I have to get a part or my bike is broken and I can't get it somewhere else. Little things like this is what they have done for the last 2-3 years. This time it cost them a new bike sale, accessories and an install of some of those accessories.

No problem at the dealer here in El Paso, Parts guy just handed me one when I paid for some oil.

Some dealers are great and others not. Fortunately we have three in Las Vegas/Henderson area, I get service at one and parts at another. Take my money where I'm treated like a human being.

I wonder what that catalog cost the dealer?...Just a thought I don't know any of these individual situations...I am just guessing that some of the dealers are trying to get the catalogs in the hands of real customers...And not into the hands of people that will take the book home to get the part numbers to order from other dealers or the internet...Just a thought.
