Default I did a search on handlebars but.....

didn't find what I was looking for. I'm wanting to change handlebars to something that will allow me to set straight up rather than having to lean forward. I am 5'8 and I currently have the HD Reduced Bars. Though not bad I still have to lean a bit forward and I do have them pulled back as far as I can. I'm not wanting the beach bar look but was wondering if I bought like 10 inch apes if they can be adjusted back to where I could set more upright when riding. I did find on my search that you wouldn't have to change the wiring with 10 inch but I'm wondering if that is the case would they pull back far enough for me or should I go with 12 inch even if I have to change out the wiring? Appreciate any help...thanks.

I am assuming they can be adjusted or pulled back to fit individual riders?

When I still had my Road King Classic I finally got to sit on a Road King that had Road King Reduced Reach 56166-08 on it. I also have short arms and these were the most comfortable. Unfortunately, I sold the RKC before mounting new handlebars.

Might even look at the Krome Works +2 Sweepers. I am assuming they would work on the King. Put them on my RG and the came back 2" and up 2". Much more comfortable.

The 10" are about the same height as the heritage style. They will pull back far enough for you. I had the heritage style before I saved up for the 14" bars. Still have them in the garage......They were much better than stock and allowed me to sit up straight. If money isn't an issue and your not afraid to change cables, I would put the 12" on for better looks. Heck......I would go taller than 12" to be honest

I have the wild1 chubby wo577's on mine and I'm 5'9" and sit very straight up. You need to really look at the "pullback" on the handlebars and you can find this on the site of most of the mfg's. As you can see below you need to check what the best dimension & LOOK is for you. I really like the 577's but thought it would be even better if it came back a little more so maybe the 502's but then the bars are made to different dimensions that you might not like the look of. Go to the sites and check those dimensions and pictures out and then you can make an educated decision.

Example:
WO572
WO572 CHUBBY® 14" Ape Hangers
14" Rise, 36-½" wide, 10" center, 12-½" pullback

WO502 CHUBBY® 12-½" Ape Hangers,
12-½"rise, 36-½" wide, 10" center, 12" pullback.

WO577 CHUBBY® 12-½" Bagger Apehanger
12-½" Rise, 36" wide, 14" center, 11" pullback

Same here!...I would go with the 12.5 if you're looking for comfort.
