Front brake squeel eliminated....with stock equipment
Well,
My 1K service was completed about a week ago and I mentioned the squeeling front brakes on my new SG (common problem amongst touring bikes from what I've read on this forum).
Apparently there has been a service bulletin released that directs them to flip the rotors over to remedy the problem.
I've got about 400 miles on the bike since having the rotors flipped and I haven't heard a single sound.........actually that is a slight lie.........I have heard a slight squeel, but only when I'm pushing the bike out of the garage and applying the brakes while going backwards. I guess I can deal with that for now.

Try floating rotors & differant pads. I havent yet, but heard it works & I will be upgrading my rotors to floating in the near future. GOdd luck on the squuek.

glad to hear but i have seen alot of times and i hope im wrong but as soon as your pads fully mate back to the rotors the squeal will return. maybe not as bad but it seems to linger..... floaters are the best way, pads make a big difference too,
