Default RK touring seat rebuild?

Have you had any experience with having your stock seat rebuilt with either gel insert or better foam? I really like the look of the stock seat on the Classic but find it pretty hard on the butt after a seven hour riding day. I'd like to keep the look but upgrade the seat. I've had the bike since May and just completed a 1000 mile tour...ouch

Thanks!

I had the seat on my Heritage Softail Classic redone by Mean City. One of the best things I've done.

I had MMC do the seat (softail standard) for my Fatboy. they did a great job and it really did wonders for my backside.

if I decide to do anything with the seat on my RKC, I'll definitely send it to MMC.

Mean City did a great job on my seat. There are many options. Go to their website.

MMC does a very good job, and the customer service is very good too. Just let them know what you want out of your seat, and they will take car of it.

The incoming Sundowner seat for my RKC will be taking a trip to Mean City Cycles in the near future as well. Allen is a top notch guy to deal with and very honest.

I have the comfort stitch seat on my RKC, it is better then the stock, but I do like the look of the stock seat, I had gel incerts put in my comfort stitch seat, what I noticed is that your but still gets sore after a long day, mostly because of the sweat issue, and well from sitting on it for that long, I mean you can't sit in your easy chair for that long, but what I also noticed is there are no sore spots, you can get on your bike the next day and ride again with no problem, a couple of years ago I went on a long ride, at the end of the day I thought wow I must be getting used to rideing my but doesn't hurt at all, next day got on the bike and HOLY $H!T, my but hurt all day long, but not now!
