I have had six and all of them have been vivid black. I didn't know they came in any other color! I would say my next one would be black but, I will be keeping this one. Great bike and I will make this one last. Sorry HD, I won't be trading anymore.

I have a Vivid Black 07 Ultra with 40k miles on it.
I just started using MacQuires Cleaner wax on it and she shines like new.
No swirl marks. Easy to use too.
Black IS classic and yes I'd do it again, but that Merlot Sunglo makes me think?

 

I had a vivid black ultra glide and personally would not go for that again. It was to much work keeping it looking clean. It was a dust and scratch magnet, so I opted for a more forgiving color.

 

I have had two vivid blacks, street glide and road king classic, and believe nothing looks better against chrome than black .The whitewalls really look good on black as well. I don't think the light scratches or swirl marks are any worse than the crimson or any other color with a clear coat on. I do think they're easy to rub out. But, cars do NOT see black motorcycles as vividly or clearly as other colors. While I do like the vivid black to look at, safety is my primary concern these days when I am riding and believe my next bike will be sedona orange or cool blue(need to see in person but dealer said looks alot better in person than on web) in one of the glides(street or road-not sure yet) next time

 

Got two Harleys..... 06 EG and 10 FLTRX..... Both are Vivid Black.... All that was said is
true, BUT for me, Vivid Black is the ONLY color Harley makes.... I got Harleys because of
the Tradition and the Heritage. It takes a bit more work to keep clean, but worth the effort imho. AND,,,, when its time to sale or trade, ask a dealer who knows, what used
Harley color sales the best......... Its a personal thing, but to me.... BLACK is the King.

had a vivid black 08 flht...now pewter pearl..thanks to an old lady in a hyundai..
would i go black again..no not a chance!

 

I have the vivid black and would do it again. Saw a Street Glide today with the new 103 and it looked great.

 

I didn't know Harley made any other color than Pearl Yellow.............
I couldn't own a Black Harley.....I'm way to **** about keeping my girl clean now...no way I would have time to keep a black one up to my standards........
