Default Memphis Shades

along with replacing my tps today. My new windscreen from memphis shades came in. A 19'' light tinted. It fits well and seems to be about a 3rd thicker than the stock screen. It seems like a real quality product. If any of you guy's or gals ever want to change your windscreen take a look at the memphis shades ,100.00 $ for a 19'' ( 50 bucks less than the steeler ) and a breeze to install. I ordered mine through BK Riders. Just my 2 cents.....

I'm back to the stock shield for now but my next new one will be another one from Memphis Shields. I was very impressed. Not the case with my latest aftermarket choice...

Is that the same height at the stock screen? I feel that my screen is just a bit to short because when I sit up straight I am looking directly at the top of the screen. If there is even a slight hill I have to slouch down to see up the the hill.

I have enjoyed my Memphis Shades shield a lot on my FXR. A very good product.

Just bought a used '06 Intruder for my girlfriend to practice on and it already had a MS windshield on it...very nice indeed.

I think the stock screen is 20''. that what was on it before.I like to look over my screen. If you like to look through yours I believe you can get them at 21''. At normal riding position the top of the 19'' screen is in line between my nose and chin

Hhhmmmm, now I dont know. I think I would prefer to see just over the top. Maybe I should look around and see if I can find a 19" shield to check out. Just when you think you have got things figured out someone has to go and throw a wrench in it ...

Thanks
Phil

skdvr,

You SHOULD be looking over the windshield, not through it, about 2". At that height you don't have to worry about water streaks, scratches or flares obliterating your vision when light hits the shield, especially at night. The wind shield will still divert the wind and most of the rain over your head.
It sounds like 19" might be right for you.

Very cool, thanks for letting me know. I just ASSumed that you should look through it. I may need to give the 19 a shot. Well maybe I will measure mine first and find out exactly what it is. Not sure if it is stock or not, but I would guess so. I have only had my bike for just shy of a month now.

Thanks
Phil
