My Avalanche has all the cladding on it and it fades like crazy, especially the bed panels. On the Avy forums a member found some stuff called Refinish Restorer made by car systems. A 1 qt can shipped to the house was $52. It last forever though. I've done my truck numerous times over the last couple of years along with other trucks and still have over 1/2 a can left. I usually have to do it twice a year and it brings it right back to new looking again. It won't wash off like Mothers and all the other products I've seen people use and that I've used myself. The bed panels on the Avy's take a beating from the snow and sun worse than the inner fairing of my bike will ever see. If mine starts to fade, this is the stuff I'll be using.

a quick pix of my friends avy after she did part of it with one coat. Once it cures, it looks just like new. It even pulls dirt and junk out of the plastic.

www.303products.com/ never thought of using that on the dash, but I've used it on the boat and it works great. Marine here has it on the shelve never seen it anywhere else other then online.

S100 engine brite........ Yep that stuff you all already have in the garage and use on your engines to bring that new look back. Used it once on my 05 electraglide classic a year ago and it still looks new

Got mine replaced under warranty. I use the 303 but the dealer uses S100 stuff after service and I think they react with each other. So no more post service wash by dealer.

Wait for it ....Wait for it........ PLEDGE! Yes it works great for the inner fairing. My bike sits out in the hot So Cal sun all day long while I am at work and the pledge has restored my inner fairing back to the original black that it was before. Another benefit is the dust doesn't collect on it like it did with other products.
BTW my bike is an 03

This does not answer the resoration question, but is related to prevention. I ride my bike to work year round. I cover it every day rain or shine, probablly more for UV protection than rain. I had the inner fairing fade to gray on an '05 FLHTC and did not care to have it happen again.

No matter what you do you will not be able to stop the inner fairing from fading. Its the flat paint that Harley uses on it. It has a low UV protectant in it. I have tried for 1 and a half years to stop the fading to no avail. I will eventually end up painting it. As of now I dont worry about it anymore.

Bought the Mother's Back To Black. So far it is doing a pretty good job.
It's not perfect, but it looks better and seems to be getting better with
each application.
