Screwed up, How do i fix this problem - FIXED thanks everyone....
1996 Road King
Somehow I have done something wrong and I am struggling to set it straight again.
I removed both upper shock hold down bolts and also removed the grab-rail to fender bolts to work on the bike and now I cannot get them back to where they should be. If I locate the shock bolts to the correct locations the grab-rail to fender holes are off location and I cannot secure any bolts there.
If I locate the grab-rail to fender holes first, I cannot locate the shock bolts to the correct location.
What did I do wrong and “HOW DO I CORRECT THIS”????

I tried just that but the shock hole then would be off but not in the up or down axis, it would be off as in the 9 to 10 oclock position and not the 12 to 6 oclock position, I hope that makes sense!

Are you installing the grab rail flipped (i.e. left side to the right)?
You should not be having that hard of a time with the parts you are dealing with... They are pretty straight forward. Usually, it is something very obvious that you are doing wrong. Keep looking and trying different ways.
You may also want to look at a Parts Manual, if you have it.
Good luck.

This new grab rail mates very good with the covers that go from the grab rail mounts to the lower parts. It is the fender that looks like it has moved out of place!!!!
