Default Quiet performance air cleaner?

After completing a 3,600 mile trip from Utah to western Canada and back I am wondering if someone offers a high performance air cleaner that is quieter than the Harley Stage 1. I installed a 103 kit with high performance air cleaner however on long pulls the noise from the AC is too much. If I can't find a quieter performance air cleaner I am considering installing the factory AC and re-tuning. Any idea how much performance I would lose? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

What cover are you using? I found that when I put on a stage 2 with an exposed element, it was so noisy it drowned out the sound of the exhaust at times. I just switched the open cover to a full cover that covered the element and no more noise, performance stayed the same.

I am using the stock cover with the stage 1 filter, I think part of my problem is my enclosed helmet which seems to increase the resonance from the filter

I think the noise from the stage 1 air cleaner sucks too.
When I put cams in my Potato Bike, I used the stock air box and put in a K&N stock replacement high flow filter.
Part no. HD-1508 I think. The same piece should fit yours too.
If your not looking for the absolute most peak HP, this should work great.

My Choice would be K&N with stock cover seems to do fine without excess noise ..

And I also really like the look of the sleeper stock cover with the original backing plate. This is my setup with a K&N filter.
