It makes sense from an aerodynamics point of view, you don't have that cavity catching the air with the bubble in place. I couldn't tell from the pix, do the 2011 RG's have the bubble or have they done with the CVO treatment?
No bubble on the 2011's. Saw the powder blue 2011 RG at the dealer today, it had a flat black bezel like the 10's.
it's surely the same principle as my c-5 series corvette. at night my fuel mileage isn't as good as it is in the daytime. those two flip up headlights really interrupt the air flow around the body. i can see how it'd affect a roadglide too. now if they only made a headlight bubble for streetglides..........
Glad you posted this , been having that thought recently of going back to the bubble for trip next week. Im also going back to my ugly tall original 02 windshield for ride to SD. Maybe the bubble will offset the tall shield...lol I guess styling is not a priority on a 1000+ mi. trip.
