Well I won't trailer my bike...

That being said, I do love the accessories that come on my friends trailer... BBQ, stoves, lanterns, ice chests, knives forks and plates, complete set of tools, cooking spices, lawn chairs and kitchen sink.

The best part about having a friend with a trailer... he can haul your broken bike to the shop if the problem is beyond campground repair like what happened last year to my wife's bike...

Leaving the 7th rain or shine at 6 am. Looking forward to riding the Ultra Classic as it's part of the fun. However, I'm not biased if anyone wants to trailer their bike for whatever reason, even if it does have a gigantic HARLEY DAVISON logo on the side......

Didn't I read in the forums about riders at Sturgis that wear T-shirts that read " Nice Trailer.... ***** ! "

Will there be any outlaw trailer gangs at Sturgis? Cause there were some at Laconia this year. They were running over chipmunks, ripping up the lawns and slamming their trailers into houses, trucks and other trailers. Their OL's were always yelling "your too far right" or "straighten it up" or "STOP!" - it was chaos. LOL
Have fun and be safe however you get there - wish I could go.

Who cares how you get there is right!

Riding the scoot from NH but took a lot of planning and using every last day of vaca time from work to make it happen. Not sure our buttocks or backs will agree with our decision once we get there and back.

Leaving Friday the 6th and arriving Sunday afternoon the 8th 800/800/450 is the plan. Leaving 15th and home on 17th.

If anyone wants to come along with us feel free to drop us a line. SE NH prob going 84 to 80 (maybe 90 they're about the same distance cept all that NY Thruway and the cops cracking down for speeding tix) to Fremont OH on the 6th. 80 to Sioux City on the 7th and up to the Chip on Sunday. Got hotels along the way and back booked so the route is set in stone.

Never been and decided we wanted to make the ride on the bike our first time and given how much time it takes we very well might trailer in future years.

I am trailering because I don't know which of my bikes to bring. Instead, I bring them all and ride the one I feel like riding that day. I bring the 1 ton Super Duty so the wife can fill up the box with all her clothes and stuff, that way she doesn't have to make up her mind what to bring, she just brings it all.

If I didn't ride an Ultra, I might trailer a Harley. However, I just can't make myself Haul the Ultra, unless it's broken. Personally, I could care less one way or the other. I have several friends that do the trailer thing, and I'm ok with it, but I just don't enjoy it. I love the ride MORE than the destination, especially to someplace like Sturgis.
