'99 Road King 10k miles. Battery took a dump, 1 year old Interstate, I was at work.
'03 EG Classic, Battery took a dump, 6 year old Harley battery, parked in the same place as the '99 when it took a dump!

Default Stranded

Transmission shifting springs on my "91" electraglide sport! saving grace was it was only two blocks down the street from Rapid city HD, during the Sturgis rally.

So far 371 people looked at this posting and only 16 stranded that is a pretty good record for Harley

Now I know how it responds when you drive it out of range of the fob. Somebody could steal it and drive across country as long as they don't switch it off. Killer alarm system!!
Did that, but had my overide card in wallet.

09 Ultra-stranded with about 500 miles on the odometer--issue with TBW system. Towed to nearest dealer for repair.

My friend will tell you, "CHROME WONT GET YOU HOME, BUT IT SURE MAKES
YOU LOOK GOOD STANDING BESIDE THE ROAD". I have come close, but that
only counts in hand grenades and horse shoes!....Tenn.Vol.

I've been stranded just once. Last year at the end of the Sturgis rally my ignition switch went south. Had to be towed from Spearfish to Rapid City HD, but they took good care of me and for $100.00 I was on my way again. Insurance picked up the tow so I didn't feel too bad about the whole thing. Bike had about 20K on it at the time and the warranty had just expired a month earlier.

Shortly before that incident I was "stranded" at home with a dead bike when the fuel line quick disconnect failed. Dealer tow and fixed under warranty.
