I just spoke to a good friend who is a 18year Harley Tech and works in the highest selling HD dealer in georgia about the download for the 07 touring bikes after reading from those saying they had it done. He tells me, no such download exists as of today, that harley has one being tested and is scheduled to be available in mid september. The downloads become available online on the dealer website to all dealers at the same time and he said he will contact me when harley releases it, so whats the deal ? Are these other dealers just downloading old 06 programs and sending these guys on down the road? Even in the 07 parts catalog it states that the downloads will not be available till later in 06.

 

I think the only upgrade is airfilter related,nothing more.Shouldnt have been charged for it.

 

Funny they would have a download for a part they dont sell, there is NO screaming eagle air cleaner system for a 07 model, At least none is listed in the 07 parts catalog.

So is this from the race tuner? I see it lists the old part number for the breather,( nice to know it fits) but this is not the dealer download that is done to the stock ECM of which others had said they had done.

 

My dealer asked me to hold off on the exhaust, said he didnt have anything yet for the 07 (not that I was going to use his, but he mentioned it when I was looking at pipes)

 

Yes the above isnt for stockers and was also told sometime next month on newer version or upgrade.

 

I called 3 dealers in town today. They all 3 have the re-map for 07's. I would think it would be pretty dangerous for these dealers to be working on the bikes and making changes (under warranty) and telling the customer they are covered.

Keep in mind too that there are shops that can have a Dyno and fuel paks etc. Do testing and calibrations and map them out and cross them over to other bikes too. These would not be from Harley but it's not rocket science.

As long as an engine is not running SUPER LEAN or SUPER RICH the ods are it's going to be just fine. Check your plugs. they tell the story. Think of all the old muscle cars and drag cars that have had their exhaust, carbs, intake all that changed and howo do they check it..............Pull the plugs. gold/brown/tan/light grey is good to go. Super white she's lean. Black and she's rich not to mention the other signs of popping, black smoke, stinky smoke, bike running super hot, pipes glowing that would give you the signs something wrong.

 

The ONLY ECM flashes available for the 07's are the "Legal" ones (SEAC / HD Slip-On's only)....

None of the downloads are designed for performance mufflers, cams, heads or exh systems.....

YES, the Legal downloads are available from within the dealer Digital Tech.....

If a customer wants a Race type package, they MUST purchase the SERT.....

Gunrunner, ask your tech buddy what version of Digital Tech the shop is running, if it's not at least version 19.10, then they are way outta the loop and need to update ASAP.... Current DT version is 19.14....
