Default Saddle lite Cd radio question

Hi I'm a newby,

I ride a 2004 electra glide std. I have added cruise and change all the controls over to Ultra Classic model when I did that.
I now want to add a sattlelite am/Fm radio cd player and convert the
fuel tank console to the ultra Classic style so my lady and I can converse and listen to tunes on long hauls.Today I spoke to the local Harley dealer and he informed me my 2004 is to "old" and the radio is discontinued for these "older " models. I would prefer to stay with a all Harley install they seem to be just better and water resistant. But he tells me I will probably have to put an auto unit and conversion kit in! I know little of this end can anyone give me some help. And remember I dont know a lot about radios and such so try not to talk way over my head Thanks
