I have 4k kilometers ( about 2,500 mls ), on my last oil change. We are getting ready to go to Sturgis from Vancouver Island.
I have about 3.5 quarts of Amsoil, but have lots of syn3.
Can I mix the 2 oils, or should I just use one or the other?
I can always get another quart of the Amsoil

 

I would mix it, but it is your bike.

 

Depends on who ya ask... reality is you can mix just about any 2 different oils if you really had to. Syn3 and Amsoil will mix just fine. Have a blast at Sturgis.

I agree with everyone who's responded that it won't hurt anything, but I would probably just use the Syn3 in some other application. I have plenty of things here that need oil, like my car, riding mower, etc.

 

I'd get another quart of Amsoil preferably, or just go ahead and use the Syn 3. I agree it won't hurt to mix but I wouldn't do it unless I really needed to.

I would not recommend mixing the two. actually I'd highly recommend selling the rest of ur syn3 and get Amzoil AHR 60 and run it out 7 or 8k b4 changing it out then run it 5k more in your truck like I do. Think I'm kidding? I've over 85k on my super and it still dose not burn ( or loose ) a single drop of oil between 7.5 k oil changes. also if u instal Amzoil Shock Therapy it my be the last time u ever need 2 worry about that either, #ridesafe
