Default What is the best engine build kit/configuration?

So what is it? What size? Manufacturer? What's the best? I'm sure you're going to ask me what my riding style is, that is only fair.

I ride the **** out of it from stop sign to stop sign all week. I go out of town on weekends. I don't like to get passed, but I don't like to break down either.

I pay for my repairs because I'm to busy working. I'm not rich and I'm not poor.

I'm not anti SE, I did buy a HD afterall.

Let's not forget, it has to pick up chicks.

What kind of engine is the best. Build it fellas.

'Best' is one of the biggest words out there! Only you can be the judge of what is 'best' for you. If you want to change from what you currently have you need to let us know what model your bike is and more of what you want from it.

There are HDF sponsors who can advise and rebuild your current motor and give it a serious boost in performance, even add a hypercharger that can give mind-blowing figures. Or you can replace with a fresh BIG motor, such as an R&R.

If you want the chicks to ride along and don't want them to fall off the back, stay with what you have! Or fit a tourpak....

It all depends on how much money you want to spend. Power is one thing you can buy.

Well any bike will do what your asking. Bone stock will probably hold up best and be the most reliable.

"ride the **** out of it from stop sign to stop sign all week" and "don't like to break down" IMO your gonna have to chose one or the other.

Most chicks aren't really into engines. If you need the help of a bike then better to invest in chrome and a flashy paint job or maybe just buy them gifts.

Fellow poster PhilM seems to be pretty much on top of his game when it comes to engine builds. If he doesn't offer some advice here, I would suggest you drop him a PM.
