Default Reducing Heat: True Duals or 2-1

Has anyone had both true duals and a 2-1 and noticed that one is better at reducing rider/passenger heat? I have a PC3 with a map from fuemoto, but with the warmer temps lately I'm starting to feel that inner thigh burn on the right hand side.

What has been the general experience - are true duals or 2-1 better at reducing the amount of heat you feel?

Regards,
JB

I had a set of Rineharts on my bike and then switch to a Fatcat 2-1, the FatCat made a large difference in heat, only hot on one side but it was still hot, then I added a set of No More Fried Thighs heat shields which helped a lot also, but still hot, then I had the head pipes ceramic coated and that made a huge difference, I now can't tell the difference between my Sportster and the RK as far as heat.

+++on the ceramic coating your pipes. I did my entire exhaust in early spring & you definitely can tell the difference. Best $160 I ever spent on the scoot.

I had V&H True duals on my Streetglide. I put on a black ceramic coated Fat Cat. The heat from the rear header is more noticable with the Fat Cat but not unbearable. The increased throttle response with the Fat Cat is worth a little more heat to me. Besides, when the weather cools a little that heat will be welcome.

Conventional true duals, where the rear exhaust exits directly down the left side, feels cooler on your right thigh.

Default Been so hot this summer, I haven't noticed...

Once it is above 95 degrees, like it has been in the Memphis area for two months--I can honestly say that exhaust routing one way or the other would make me feel cooler. It's just hot!

Same boat as you. I just purchased V&H dresser duals. Hopefully it will take the heat away. From what I've read, it should.

I just put a SuperTrapp Supermeg on Pickles. I'm exceptionally pleased with the heat reduction. It is far better than I had hoped for.

I run Rhinehart true duals and love em, no heat issues.
