I never understand the anti ABS guys. One thing for sure, it doesn't hurt to have abs so why not have it? Just like air bags. May never need one my entire life but it sure doesn't hurt to have them just in case....

Mine came in handy when a dog decided to run in front of me. ABS did it's job and both the dog and I went on our merry way uninjured.

That's great that you got through that safely. I think if I knew of a road that was "known as SLICKER THAN SNAIL SNOT ON ICE when wet," I would have been a bit more cautious.

Nice to see a thread with guys glad to have ABS instead of the Bashing... I don't think anyone including the MoCo claims that a non-ABS bike can brake just as quick with a skilled rider in good conditions... It is these un-expected poor road condition situations that it makes it nice to have ABS... For those agressive riders that don't like it, it is still an option the last I checked.

I have been trying ot decide on a new bike and won't even consider one without ABS. Wish they would make it an option on all the Harleys like BMW does.

I'm all for ABS as I said Love it on my Ultra .. The thing that scares me is some people try to convince you that you could stop on a dime on Black Ice as long as have ABS .. This is not True ..
