Default 255 cams

looking for torque from 1500 up to 5000 as I dont ride any higher in the r's than that. Looking for bolt in before sturgis to pull the SO and bushtec. 2010 Ultra with T-max TBW, se a/c and V and H pro pipe HO. Don't need high hp just TORQUE. 255's? woods tw6 looks like higher in the range than I like to see the touque. Andrews? not looking to go bigbore yet or even at all if I get the results I want, I will just stay 96". suggestions thanks

The TW6 doesn't really come on til about 3 grand in a stock motor. The 4* gear will bring it on a little sooner. Great cam though.

search ***** only as good as the info available to search for. I don't really care about somebody's dyno butt but a true dyno sheet is useful to me. So far I have yet to see a consistant dyno chart for SE 255's and everybodys opinion on hp cams not torque cams. HP means nothing without torque and it seems everybody is more interested in HP, which means higher in the rpm's, than torque. 90-100 ft/lbs in the 1500-5000 rpm range is useful for day to day riding in a touring bike not dyno wars

Straight up. The head work and pistons are set-up to run the cam straight up, not advanced. When the motor was stock, I also ran it straight up. Pulled great, but didn't really come on til about 3 grand. Comes on a little earlier now with the added compression. Have a look in the "dyno numbers for baggers" thread, and you can see plenty of sheets for comparison.

SE255 are probably the best bet for a torque cam in a stock 96. They were designed for 9.2:1 static compression motors. Bolt them in, tune it and go riding.

As has been said and shown many times before, the SE-255 is great in a TC-96...

from what i've seen, the 255's seem to have good low/mid rpm torque and power.
