I'm interested in putting the road king custom console 71306-04 on my 01 road king classic but the description says it only fits 04-07 models. I did a search and couldn't find anything on whether or not it would fit my bike. Anyone know for sure? Thanks

 

Ok, I got the new console dirt cheap on ebay and decided to go for it. It installed no problem, the only thing i had to change was I had to reuse the original lock ring for the speedometer, the new one was too shallow. So I'm guessing that the 04-up road kings have a shallower speedometer.

 

Thanks for asking about the custom console fit on a 2001. I have a 2000 and in the same boat. I'm too looked over the install and couldn't figure why they would stop support at 2004s. Let me ask you though. I was wondering if the custom console is a little longer on the tank than the old console. Is it?
