I put the flush mount pop up latches Southco part number M1-2A-11-1 on mine. Email address is www.southco.com. Do a dealer search and then call the dealer closest to you. I ordered mine out of Texas and got them for under 30.00 delivered to the house. The drop is a little greater then the original pucks so you have to drop the inside latch down a hole then drill a new hole in it.

I'm coming out with a line of saddlebags accessories for the police bags. I will have billet inserts similar to to filler panels in the pic. I will also have the SouthCo latches. ZOOK

Southco Products

Check out this link for the Southco products. In addition to the flush mount chrome described in an earlier post (which I also sell on ebay), you will find black flush mount latches, and keyed, lockable latch mechanisms.

I have a FLHTPI with an FLHX Street Glide rear, long tank console, chrome controls and switch housings, etc. PM me if you would like some help locating vendors.

i just bought and installed the southco latches. look real nice except for the fact that the bit i was using to make the holes in the bag bigger broke and chip scratched the top of the bag. ive never been so pissed in my life. got alittle kit from autozone and some touch up vivid black paint and starting this project tonight. anyhow thanks for the sights you guys listed

Have a look at the link below for the wifes Honda which now sports Harley Police bags. Those are the Southco latches at $8.50 each and they work great. There are three or four different buttons you can get, theres one with a lock in it.

Button I used can be found at this link
http://www.southco.com/product/part.aspx?pid=11950

Other buttons can be found at http://www.southco.com/product/class.aspx?cid=7477
