The trade in value book doesn't have added value for all the modz you did and the Dealer just see's them as freebies.

It does have high miles for a trade. I'd sell it outright should get a couple thousand more. In this economy 12k would be really good (at least here in the west). You were right to walk away.

Yes, it's low. But you know they are trying to make money (just don't want them to make it all on you!). Sell it yourself and you'll come out better in my opinion.

That's half the price of a new one and you've had 50K worth of enjoyment out of it. That's not bad at all. I'd take 10K for it with a smile.

I'm sure you are aware of this, but you won't have to pay sales tax on the $9400. Are they charging MSRP for the new bike? Hang tough, these are tough times.

Been there with same results as you.

Watched the same sales manager insult a younger guy that brought his nice bike in with a tiny bit of road grime on it. The guy should have picked the ***** up by the throat.

It's hard pressed to buy a bike cheaper than what they will sell you one outright but don't even think about a trade. They should just hang a sign saying "No Trades".

You have to understand, they really do not want older bikes, they have 11's coming in next week and most likley have many 10's still left... Dealer Never offers a good price. its all part of the game.. sell it out right IF you can find someone with that amount of cash... its not easy unless you really drop the price.... I know it hurts - why not just keep yours...
