Harley BOOM speakers are well worth it.

Put the Boom's in the front first in my 09 Tri Glide much better then stock speakers. Better sound all around much louder clear sound. Then put a set of Booms in the rear Pods. Kinda disapointed not much improvement highs a bit better. Could use more Bass. Was hopeing the rear Booms would put out more Bass. If I had to do it over would of just gone with the fronts. Noticed a big difference with the front upgrade not much with the rears. Was thinking of packing the rear Pods with fiberglass might improve the Bass. Any one body done that ? If so did it improve the Bass?

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that they will. A speaker is a speaker as far as mounting. Before I put the BOOM speakers in my Ultra I read a lot of the threads to decide which speakers to put in, and there was a discussion about whether you needed the speakers to be waterproof or not... could you simply use auto speakers, etc. I do remember reading about a couple of members that said they used the marine grade speakers... however they said the speakers were expensive because of them being waterproof. Maybe do a forum search and see if you can call that discussion up.

I totally agree with Drew or Shawn on this, they make the HD BOOM speakers look like a small coin in size comparison, and the sound doesn't even compare. A buddy of mine bought the HD BOOM speakers for his 09 SG and thought they were the 'ace' until he saw my J&M 7.25's and listened to them with my J&M amp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!:icon_ clapclap: to J&M.........

bass
Big issue...? Nah. Not a big issue. Just sayin...bass contributes to letting you hear and feel the music. If someone would figure that out on bikes I'm sure I wouldnt be the only one to appreciate it.
Not knocking the 7.25's. I have them. ...just sayin...
