Default Mustang seat fit question

I found locally a guy that is selling a Mustang seat from an Ultra Classic and wondering if it will fit on my Road King. According to Mustang they have different part numbers but the guy says it is doable. If nobody can answer and dawg does not see this I will PM him but wanted to try this first.

For the most part, all touring seats are interchangeable as long as they fall within the specified year fitment (i.e. 97-07 and 08 and later). Sometimes a seat will fall short of the fuel tank console like when using a road king seat on an FLHT, but they make a piece for that as well.

Since it's local to you, you could go try it on your bike. The nose of the seat is going to be longer, and assuming it goes on, it will likely overlay your console by a few inches.

The seat I'm running on my 07 RK was originally designed for the 04-05 CVO eglide.

I think the nose of that seat might be too long,it will probably be up over the console on your King.

The nose of that seat will ride up onto your tank console several inches. So yes, It will probably fit, just look stupid.

Not sure if it's worth the hassle unless it's way cheaper than a new one. I guess new one's aren't exactly cheap either.

Don't know what year your RK is. But there is a Mustang Solo for sale on here from an 05 I think.

You may not be looking for a Solo, I don't know. Or yours may be newer...
