Flames on a Black '09 FLHRC
So thre stars aligned and the Mrs gave me the green light and my painter says she can have me ready in time for Sturgis.
I'd always been of the mind that the only flames on an FLHRC should be old school orange yellow and red flames. But....looking at 1001 different kinda flames-"real" flames look kick azz-but might not go along with the "Classic" style of the bike.
Discuss.

Flames (in moderation) on a RoadKing can look nice.
I prefer the 'ghost' style myself. They are not so 'in your face'.
What color is the bike? (Oops, just reread your post... black - sorry)
Do you have samples of the painter's work?
My son had Tri-color (Yellow-Red-Blue) flames over black on his Sporty and both of us think the style is a little over the top.
The workmanship wasn't all that great for a $1600 paint job either.
