Default 12V tire pump

Putting my list together for things to take with me to Sturgis. One of the things is a tire pump that you use with the cigar lighter. I looked at one today that I thought I had read about on the forum. It was at Wal-Mart for only $9.00. But, it takes 14 minutes to pump up a "normal car tire at 35psi"

Just wondered which one the majority of the members have ?

I use a Walmart el cheapo. I took off the plastic housing and robbed the guts out of it. It is pretty compact, now. It will pump up a motorcycle tire in about 5 minutes.

Yah... I know. I have the upgraded HOG roadside assistance but would rather fix the flat myself. I've seen where other riders had a flat and it took 2 hours for the person to get there. Was just wondering if this was the pump that everybody else was using... Seems kind of cheap for only $9.00.. but heck.. if it works ? Not sure that I agree with you that it would only take 5 mins for a bike tire. Sounds like the pump works on PSI.

I have the small "Slime" pump. It would be nicer if it had a gauge on it.

I bought the Slime air compressor kit at Walmart for $35 or so. I think it's #50001. It contains the small compressor, several power cables, a tire gauge, a bottle of Slime tire sealant, and a nice carrying case. No gauge on the compressor itself but since none of them are accurate .....
I connects to either the cig lighter or to the pigtail for the battery tender. I just replaced the online fuse on the battery tender cable by a stronger one, I think I put a 15amp. The compressor works fine. I mainly use it to add a few psi if needed but if I had to completely inflate a tire, it would do the job, slowly but surely.

For only$9 if it works just once it's worth it.
I think most are using the Slime
Power sport or Super sport.
I just got one @$32
Think it's better built.

Slime pump from Wallyworld.... 5 minutes or so for the bike tire... even if it took 15 I'd rather wait for that than a couple hours for roadside assistance... have plugs and tools and pump, takes very little space in the bottom of the bags...
