There's a reset procedure that usually saves you the trouble of pullin' the battery. I *think* it's press the power switch & lower right corner of the screen at the same time & hold till it resets. Like BigDaddyMike said, the folks at Zumo Forums will know, or you can get the info from Garmin.

Power switch and the "+" button should unlock it. Happens to mine every now and then.

Probably no need to pull the battery, but rather just hit Power (bottom-right button) and + (top-left button) at the same time and it should power back up. Also, make sure it has the latest firmware, which helps but doesn't cure this situation. Mine still does it once every few months.

Mine will also blank-out in the same manner if I start the bike too soon after turning on the ignition. I have my Zumo connected to ignition power, not to the battery directly, and I usually power the Zumo on first and then start the bike normally. My bike starts better when I don't wait after turning on the ignition switch.

Checking out the Zumo forum is a good suggestion, as well as this Zumo Wiki site.

I love that damn thing.....allows me to go deep into places and escape worry free... Havent had any issues with it.

I don't use the MP3 portion of it yet but "I would immagine" (I dont know for sure...check with Garmin) you might be able to insert a virus into it if you download bootleg music on the card and insert it into your unit....

I'd call Garmin to see if this is possible in your case.

The Zumo forum is a great source of Zumo info. I've had mine for about 2 years, and I remember it locking up once where I to remove the battery to clear it. The is a couple of things to look for that you should find on the Zumo forum bad mp3s or deleted points on route if my memory serves me

The first thing to do after you get it running is to hook it to your computer and use Garmin's "Webupdater" to check for software upgrades.
