What part numbers did you buy?
  • 52395-06A Was it this part number and did it include the lower pad?
  • Did you have to drill holes in the lower box for the lower pad?
  • Did you have to buy hardware seperate?
Appreciate the help....

I cant remember the part number for the wrap-around backrest. Dawg posted a link to a service bulletin...... think it was M-1265 that had the part number for the newer style backrest.....seat....seat strap. Its the one thats standard on the 2010 UC and UC Limited....not the Comfort Stitch.

The lower backrest piece (sorry dont know the part number here either) i had to order two bolts and nuts to mount it to the tour pack. The holes for mounting this piece are already there on the newer tour packs.

Also the wrap around backrest and the lower pad are two different part numbers. They dont come together.

Default Closing the Gap

Just came in from the garage...I figured out how to close the gap between the one piece backrest and the tour-pak.

The brackets that secure the back rest to the pak have two studs (7/16") going through the pak and a hole for a stud (1/2") that's attached to a rubber bumper.

Remove the bracket completely from the back rest & tour pak.

Elongate the hole that the 1/2" stud/nut goes through downward so the stud goes down further on the bracket.

You can go down fall enough to close the gap completely or leave about a fingers height of space between the back rest and tour pak like I did. If you have sausage fingers, adjust accordingly. This would eliminate and chaffing of the paint on the pak.

Paint the brackets to prevent rust and reinstall the brackets.

I only had to do one side, since the other side had the finger height gap already.
