Or, is that price for a new TB?

I recall you telling me the stock TB was fine for my HQ 107" build.
Do you see any benefit of this mod for the HQ motors?
Hey Chris...

Yes, just send yours in, they cut the back off, disassemble everything, bore the throat, new butterfly, reassemble, & mount new intake to the back ~ where the cut it in half.

Length & fit was 100% perfect. They fully surveyed me about the build & sent it back with a PERFECT fit!

That's a rebuild price, for your TB.

In general, the stocker will flow enough for the HQ 107, but the intake runner design is superior to the stock design. I think it would help ya out some....

I have this EXACT HPI setup for sale! a stock FBW 50 modified to 54mm with a 1.800 runner attached. Not sure where the $400 list price came from, like their website says, it cost me $450 plus the shipping there and back. Maybe you get a discount Phil? I also do have to agree with Phil, it made a HUGE difference on my Hillside 107 build over the stock 50 with 1.67 manifold. Here is the writeup on HPI's website:

Through a core exchange program, we modify the existing stock units to meet your specific needs. The stock 50mm FBW throttle body is bored to a 54mm and attached is a custom intake manifold specific to your build requirements. The stock 58mm FBW throttle body is turned into a large plenum throttle body through a 62mm intake attachment, once again specific to your build requirements.
Available intake port diameters are 1.660, 1.710 and 1.800. Extended deck lengths are raised .032” or .060” and a file to fit option. Through these modifications, HPI is able to offer our customers a FBW throttle body solution that is affordable and unmatched in quality.

I will sell my entire TB for $500 shipped, that way, you still have your original TB to do what you please with, and for some reason if you do not like the upgrade, you can always switch back to your 50. Also, the manifold that has been "siamesed" on seems to be removable, so if you do not need a 1.800, I am pretty certain that HPI can supply any size you need. If that is the case, I will check with HPI to make sure. I just had this TB done by HPI in Febuary, and there is less than 300 miles on it. I am going another way with my motor, so everything is for sale. Injectors, IAF, fuel rail and line, and map sensor are NOT included. PM me if interested.

What were the hp and torque numbers for the 107 build with the tman heads and 625 cam before and after the HPi intake swap? I have a similar 107 Tman build (107", Stage 2 heads, and Tman 625 cam) and have not been impressed with the Hp numbers -- wondering if the HPI manifold modification would help.

Very interested in this. Gets me thinking I might be looking to upgrade my 107 a little bit more.
