I just put on a set of Samson black true duals as I too wanted the traditional look without the cross under. They are louder than stock but not objectionable. When I get on them - they bark. They improved my performance over the stock pipes on my 09 EGS. I like the 4" mufflers too.
At least now I can change out with different slip-ons and such if I want to.
