Default Avon Venom Tires

I switched to Avon Venom Tires about a year ago and have been very happy with them. In Florida there are not a lot of curves but the tires have been good wet or dry. I just got back from 2 weeks in the Smokies where I was caught in several rain storms as well as dry conditions and let me tell you I am in love with these tires all over again, in the curves and mountains these tires stuck like glue to the payment regardless of the condition and never missed a beat, in the rain they were very solid, I run wide white walls so I didn't have a lot of choices and was sick of the Dunlop E2 that came on the bike so I gave them and try and feel like I made a solid decision

I have heard good things about the handeling with the Venoms. Also heard they wear quickly on Baggers. How many miles do you have on them?

Good gripping tire but they wore out to quickly for me. 6000 miles just wasn't enough miles for me. good ride though.

I'm not to sure about mine. I have felt the rear one break loose on a few occasions in the mountain twisties here in AZ. Coming to hard stops, the rear one slides pretty easy too. I tend to be more cautious in the rain now.

I have Avon Venoms on my 04 EGC and LOVE them!!!! I am on my 3rd rear and 1 front and would not put anything else on the bike. I get about 9K on them while hauling sometimes 2 up and trailer. I keep the air up at 38-40. Never over. Too stiff.

I think the wear has to do with tire pressure, I was told you have to runn 3-5 lbs. more than the Dunlops, I don't have enough miles to comment on the wear issue yet but performance is top rate for me
