If it sounds good to YOU, then that's all that matters... Go for it!

So, first off it sounds like a great deal if you want the 07...

I do wonder why a dealer would trade an '06 almost straight across for an '07. Dealers are not known for giving stuff away, so do they think that they will make more money from the '06? Just postulating here, but do you think they know something, or are speculating somehow?

I would save the 2500 and put into my 06. Bump it up to a 95. If you chase technology you will be trading every year.

it does'nt include tax or title transfer fees. they do'nt add up to much. i really love my 06 but for the money i thought i'd avoid the 10,000 mile service charge and get an entirely new bike. i am concerned about the tranny issue, although the 07 i tested was not bad at all.

The saying never buy first year of a new car looks like it applies to the 2007, with the issues I've seen posted on the forums here. I'm sure there are some out there that won't have any problems at all but if I had, wait I do have a working without problems 2006, I'd hang on to it.

thanks for the reply's guys. keep em coming. my mind is a terrible place to be alone in when it comes to buying toys. i like to hear other objective opinions before i make my final purchase decision. i'm concerned about resale value as i do tend to make alot of moves with bikes and sleds. i would'nt buy an 06 if i were to buy a bike with the 07 upgrades available now. i figure that alot of guys will feel the same way soon. i was thinking of taking the deal and running, but i want your opinions. thanks.
