Removing catalytic conv. from SE touring muffler?

Removing catalytic conv. from SE touring muffler?
Anyone know if the cat conv. can be removed from SE touring muffler without destroying the mufflers? I just added V&H true duals and
the mufflers still are too restrictive it seems. Unfortunately, I bought the mufflers when I first got the bike. Nothing like the tail wagging the dog, if I knew then what I know now from this forum it never would have happened. The Harley part # is 80463-06 if memory serves me. Thanks for any and all help
