In my experiance, KBB is pretty accurate to what you can expect for trade in. NADA is usally to high because of the method they use to calculate wholesale.
That is the best starting point for your negotiations. Remember, with a trade in, the only thing that matters is the difference between the two. Negotiate the difference, not the price of your trade or the price they show selling you the new bike for. You are going to deal retail to retail or wholesale to wholesale.

Trade in is about $8500 , if you trade for another Harley. At a car dealer they will "shop" your bike to someone who will buy the bike from them before they will make a deal with you and they will give you $500 less then what they are offered. I say you will get about $7500 at a car dealership, which is 10k less then new retail price.
Wait and sell the bike yourself , you can get the 10K and then go buy your truck.
Good Luck
