Some of you say "Down to 18#" What do you normally set them at ? I think the book says 18 - 20. I have been running mine 18 - 20 and seem to make for a smooth ride. Wife wieghs in at about 130 # and I'm generally around 220.

In the 2000 police bike OM, it states the rear shock and front fork pressures should be 0 psi for a rider weight of up to 150 lbs, and the pressure should be increased in 1 psi increments front and rear (the FLHTPI, FLHP, and FLHPI have air suspension front and rear; mine is a 2000 FLHTPI) for each additional 25 lbs of additional rider weight and in 1 psi increments front and rear for each additional 10 lbs of luggage weight, for a maximum of 25 psi front and 35 psi rear.

My manual states 20-25 for a passenger up to 200lbs and a maximum of 30psi. I run mine at 25.

Dealer told me to run 25 PSI in rears shocks. I read a article about an Ultra test ride and they reported running 75 PSI! Must have been a typo.

I'm a BIG guy. I like around 12-14 with me on the bike and a total of 20-23 with my wife on. She only weights 115. Wish I did.....Hell, wish I weighed 215.

The image to the left is my 3 year old picture!
