Default Throttle By Wire Problem

After riding about 60 miles and stopping for a break, bike started fine but there was no throttle response. After shutting off bike, everything worked fine. No issues before or after. Anyone else had this problem?

Yep, happened on my '09 Ultra when I first got it. Seems I inadvertently twisted my throttle past zero throttle position while I was turning off the run/off switch to shut down. When I started the bike back up, I had no throttle response.

After shutting down and restarting the bike again, I did have throttle response, but some codes were thrown and the bike ran like crap. When I got home, luckily just a few miles away, I did some forum research on this site and learned how to reveal my codes and reset them.

Based on this experience, I began using the ignition switch with my right hand to shut off the bike instead of the run/off switch. I've never had another problem since.

I seem to remember a Service Bulletin saying to not use the kill switch on TBW bikes for that very reason.

I use my kill switch all the time without any problems. But you have to let the rpm's settle out to normal idle is the only issue that I have had.

I've always used the kill switch and had no problems. Not to say it won't ever happen but now that I post this.

Checked the codes and have a historic code "no rSp". Cant figure out what that means. The electrical manual says to look at 6.1 if you have tachometer and ABS, but can't find any other information. WTF

no rsp means no response I believe. Like if you unplug an ABS sensor and check for a code it will show no rsp. Which section was the no rsp under (i.e. pssttp)

Make sure the kill switch is set to "RUN" when you go into diagnostic mode.

I can recreate the "no rSp" if the kill switch is "OFF" when I turn the ignition switch on with the odometer button pressed.
