Im picking up my 2015 flhtk today, I took the 5 years extended warranty on it but am second guessing my decision to do so. I don't put a ton of mileage on the bike annually. If I understand correctly, the warranty can be sold back to Harley at any time and is fully transferable. Has anyone tried selling it back?

IF you buy an extended warranty at the same time you buy your new cycle you should be aware that the extended warranty runs concurrently with the factory warranty......so in reality you're wasting some money. So, a 5 year ESP bought at the same time you buy the cycle will ONLY give you 3 yrs beyond the factory warranty.
Many don't realize (because dealers won't offer the explanation) that you can purchase an extended warranty ANYTIME during the original warranty period. My advice would be to wait until the original warranty is about to end before making any decisions. The dealers will try to talk you out of that by saying they can offer you the best price "now"......but don't buy into that.......good luck.

i didn't read all of the posts but I got the 5 year when I got the bike. I like it cause if I break down on a cross country trip they come and get me fix my bike put me up in a hotel if necessary and I don't have to worry about anything like carrying a saddle bag of tools full to fix it myself while traveling. yes I can fix it myself but while out traveling I don't want to worry I want to enjoy the ride. info ride 10 to 12 k per year and I have rode across the country and plan to do it again next year from Michigan to Seattle Washington then up to British Columbia then back home.
