First off, it's not a warranty, it's an insurance policy. And like any insurance policy it's only "worth it" if you need it.
The PO of my bike bought a 5 year policy and spun the crank two years in. Complete rebuild including welded and trued crank and SE255 cams and dyno tune and his out of pocket was $600ish including the deductible. Since I've had the bike it's had another $1k of covered work done. So, for my bike, it was most definitely worth the money.
For you, it kinda boils down to the old Clint Eastwood line. You know the one, "You feeling lucky punk".

If you don't have the warranty, do you have a plan?
Bikes don't always break down at home or in convenient places.
"Oh, I have a buddy that..." is He ready to haul to and from east bumphuck?
For piece of mind, I have one, recently renewed.
To each their own.
Also, the MoCo has taken action to reduce price competition from dealer to dealer. I checked 3 dealers, all 3 whipped out a laminated sheet with identical prices.
Incidentally, I compared Cornerstone. They told me since my bike was over 3 years old, they would only offer me a 2 year warranty, price was less than the 2 year HD warranty.
BUT - I could buy a 4 year HD warranty for far less than two 2 year Cornerstone warranties (At today's prices, and they will go up). Year #5 was only about $250 more. Yep, I went with the 5 year HD plan.

Only if you put a ton of miles on bike. And even then, only if your budget is so limited that you may not have the money to fix it later. Why insure a toy?

It is a service contract not a warranty. Against federal law for the seller to call it a warranty. Only the manufacturer can do that. In the history of motorcycles only one bike that I have ever known did it. Honda extended the full warranty on the 04 and 05 Valkyrie Rune from 3 years to 7 years for $500. Almost every owner did that. It had nothing to do with oil changes, maintenance items or tires just the components.

It is like insurance. You buy insurance to protect from a catastrophic loss.

If you can't afford to take care of the maintenance of a bike or whatever don't have one.

Consumers report has always been against them. The same with many financial advisers.

I bought a used V-Rod several years ago. It had 26,000 miles, so I decided to spring for the warranty since I did not know how it was taken care of by the PO. I ended up using the warranty to around 4000.00 worth of items that went wrong. When I got my 2015 RGS, I got it as well. It's used also and I don't know how it was treated, but after the V-Rod, I figured better safe than sorry. Plus the HeadUnit alone cost over 2500.00

If it was truly worth it, they would raise the price.

I don't know the average number of years that most Harley riders keep their bike before selling/trading but I would think the owner would have a better time selling if there was an extended warranty left on the bike and it was transferable.
