This is an old thread, because my extended warranty is up in a few weeks on a bike I've only had for a couple months. I've been leaning towards extending it for a couple years, just because I'm not familiar with the past history. It's a 2010 Ultra, and has only 12,000 KM's on it, very low. In this thread, shows some have negotiated better rates, is that still happening with warranties???? I think it's going to be a coin flip for me on this one....Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.......

Well said.. It's all about peace of mind, and what's that worth to you. Life isn't easy these days, even if you never recoop the cost, the stress over x years of the warranty? Priceless in my opinion..

In your case, the same applies to my previous statement. What is peace of mind worth to you.. You will get many that say it's a rip off. Maybe true, but what is peace of mind worth to you...

You are far better off NOT recouping the cost of the warranty in repairs. If your bike is in the shop all the time getting fixed, even under warranty, who would want that? Lost time plus the lack of peace of mind knowing your bike had had all those problems. Thats my take anyway.

My extended warrantee is $16 per month. Seems like a no brainer.

I paid $2100.00 for 3 years of extended warranty. I have had 2 claims that totaled $3800.00. My warranty expires in April of next year. I'm considering adding a few more years. It's saved me a lot of money.

The tranny on my 2009 went out in 2012 and the motor went out the next year. The ESP was well worth it.

I lost a crank and rod total replacement on a 2012 ultra 56,000 miles so I'm for buying it.Bought seven year tire and wheel for the cvo $2,100 . With the wet head problems I would say it's good insurance. And the 110s have lifter issues .

I just purchased the ZURICH extended warranty...Hope I never have to use it, but as others have stated it's a piece of mind and the coverage is there if needed...Just preparing for the unknown...

If you've never had to use it, it may not seem to be worth it. If you've had to use it you might look at it differently. I've had two. The original and a redu on the warranty. I've used both so to me it was worth it.
