So now lets see the same video of the contact patch on a regular bike tire. Many will be surprised.

Just stopped in to take a peek and saw this thread.

Must be that all you dudes posting are waiting on down bikes to get fixed. Bummer, sorry, and been there.

Later! I gotta go. Honey is waiting to ride, and I'm hearing yelling "Let's go!"

Just what everyone MC board needs..... A bazillion page car tire thread!!!!

Where every testimonial reads like a Dear Penthouse letter.

I never thought it would happen to me. But...... just the other day I rode with a car tire on my bike. And..... At first my bike handled like a barge, but with just a few short miles, I had it mastered. I will never waste my money on another Motorcycle tire.

Followed up with. I've done all my research I am going to darkside. Which tire should I buy? Should I use air or nitrogen? What pressure should I run? Should I bead balance or use weights?

If someone wants to put a car, truck, tractor, or whatever tire on their bike its their bike, and that should be it. If they try and tell me its better than what I choose to run (bike tire) then i will have something to say. I notice that most of the guys that go to the "dark side" are just passing along information. If they want to take a chance and crash a 20K bike into a ditch by using a car tire maybe the tractor tire would be a better option to help them get out, but its still their option.

Default I'm getting myself a set of 'all season radials'

so I'll have two sets of tires. I'll get one set studded for winter use and the others for bar hopping.

awsome idea . i wonder if the back tires from the dually i drive at work would fit , i would not need a kick stand but it might be hard to check the air pressure
