Question Metzler 880's

Just ordered a set of the 880's for my 09 SG. Any one else tried these tires and what do you think about them. How many miles did you get out of them?

Have them on my Ol' springer. About 10,000 mi.... maybe half gone on rear... front still looks like new. Handles as good as dunlops.
Can't really compare springer to bagger though.

I have a set and I like them..I think they offer more grip than the dunlops but i did get in a situation the other day where there was a bunch of sand on the road and the front slid out some on me
Saved it though

I have been running them on my softail for years now and have been very pleased get about 12k out of a rear ( i always replace front with rear even thought it does not needed it just part of my ocd). Just so you they are very slick when new so watch your turns at first but once you put some miles on them you will love them.

I have them on my 1990 FLHTCU. They grip nice and they wear slow.

You made the right decision, I have the 880's on my Rocker C and will never return to the Dunlops.

I went to a Metzeler rear 10,000 miles ago and just now replaced the front. I had lots of tire noise with the front Dunlop specially in the corners, growling. Mostly my fault. I changed from a 3.00" wide rim to a 3.50" at 12,000 miles, which caused some cupping on the Dunlop front. I've put 300 miles on the new Metzeler and really like the difference in ride. The front white wall is gone!

sounds promising to me. I don't like the sandy situation, we have a lot of that here in the MS hills. Just have to be careful i rekon

Yup, but that will be true with any tire......sand, corners and bikes never get along very well.

Put a 880 on the back of my 01 EGC last fall and could tell the differance right away, will put one on the front in about 3k more miles.......Not to many corners are sand free out here ya just have to stay off the front brake....
